Jack Grosicki2023-10-14We have owned a lot for many years at Whisper Mountain and built our 1,200 sq.ft. home starting in October 2021 and moved in July 2022. Our home is situated at an elevation of 3,250 feet so we benefit from nice breezes that keep us cooler than the towns a few miles away in the valley and we have wonderful views to the east all the way to Mt. Mitchell 32 miles away and shorter range views to the south through the Davidson Gap. The owner’s clubhouse, the Sky Valley Lodge, is a great place to gather with friends and family, and we have had some enjoyable community gatherings with our neighbors. We use the exercise facilities in the lodge, although walking the trails makes for a really good workout with all the elevation changes. The location is very peaceful, about a 30 minute drive to Asheville, but the recent addition of AT&T fiber optic service with download and upload speeds up to 1Gbps means that we have better connectivity than many urban centers. All things considered, this is a great place to live.
Corina Manning2023-08-01We had a fabulous stay at Whisper Mountain with our boys visiting family and chilling out. We enjoyed relaxing at the lodge, playing pool and also took advantage of the well equipped exercise room. It was so peaceful having our morning coffee on the balcony watching the birds and other wildlife around us, truly a magical place. Stunning views and great walking trails, so much to see and do here. We will definitely be back, considering buying a lot here too.

The views are unbelievable, the location is fantastic, and the home itself is beautiful — truly no downsides to staying here! Landry Norris2023-04-13Whisper Mountain is a MUST VISIT!! We go every year and it’s a trip we make sure to put on our calendar. The views are truly breathtaking and it’s a perfect distance from downtown Asheville. You get the best balance between mountain serenity and classic Asheville fun, but if I’m being honest, once you’re settled in at Whisper Mountain you aren’t going to want to leave!

Mike B2023-03-07Whisper Mountain is one of those places you truly have to see to believe - because to say it is peaceful, quiet, relaxing and scenic simply does not do it justice. At just under 30 mins from downtown Asheville, 45 mins from Waynesville, and a short drive to hiking, skiing, white water rafting, etc, Whisper Mountain is quite honesty one of the best kept secrets of Western NC. We purchased our home a few years ago, as a second home, but more importantly as a chance to get away from our busy life in Virginia. Since coming here to visit, my wife and I often say that we should just retire tomorrow because having to leave is getting harder and harder.
